Private Policy: Opt-In Text Messaging Disclaimer

Text Message Communication Guidelines

Text messaging is a supplementary communication tool at Bestview Care Options and should not be used as the sole method for delivering essential information. Whenever possible, important messages will also be communicated through email, phone calls, or written notices to ensure all individuals—including those without mobile phones—receive the necessary information.

All text messages sent by Bestview Care Options will clearly identify the organization as the sender to avoid confusion about the source of the message.

Bestview Care Options may send non-emergency messages that are relevant to our mission and services, such as reminders, appointment updates, or general wellness information, only to individuals who have provided express consent to receive such messages.

Non-Emergency Messaging Requirements:

  • Text messages will only be sent to individuals who have opted in

  • Messages will comply with applicable laws and privacy regulations

  • Communications will follow Bestview Care Options’ internal guidelines

  • Recipients may opt out at any time by replying with an opt-out keyword (e.g., STOP)

  • Standard message and data rates may apply

  • Consent applies only to the stated purpose of the communication

Text messages must NOT be used to communicate:

  • Personal matters unrelated to care or services

  • Advertising or commercial promotions not relevant to our agency’s mission

  • Personal or confidential information, including but not limited to Social Security numbers, medical records, passwords, or financial information

  • Any content related to sex, hate, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or firearms

Employee & Client Privacy

Text messages originate from agency-managed systems or numbers not directly tied to an individual staff member’s personal phone. All such systems are used solely for professional and care-related communication.

Employee personal phone numbers will not be used for texting clients unless explicit consent is given by the employee. All contact and communication records are handled with confidentiality and in compliance with privacy policies.

Client information, including phone numbers and mobile opt-in data, will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for non-service-related purposes. We may work with trusted service providers to support our messaging systems, but all partners are required to uphold strict privacy standards.
